The Clinical Director of Adult Services is part of the leadership team that provides clinical oversight of multi-disciplinary teams and manages departmental day to day clinical and administrative activities to ensure quality treatment services for each client served by CLM. This position is full-time, 40 hours/week.
Major Functional Areas and Description of Duties
- Participates in the management of resources, priorities and caseloads of multi-disciplinary teams within the department;
- Ensures training of new team members, provides ongoing performance feedback and formal annual performance appraisals for team leaders;
- Promotes best practice models and treatment strategies that are outcomes-driven;
- Utilizes outcome measures to identify areas for continuous quality improvement;
- Ensures that team members fulfill their responsibilities professionally and in a manner that protects the integrity, confidentiality and rights of all clients;
- Ensures that clinical documentation is completed accurately, on a timely basis and in compliance with appropriate CLM, federal, state and other pertinent standards;
- Ensures that services provided comply with all federal and state regulatory standards and statutes. Adheres to the Center’s Code of Ethics as well as position-specific ethical codes;
- Relates well to staff, models conflict resolution and nurtures a supportive work environment among all staff; manages complex situations by using a high level of emotional intelligence;
- Works with BBH in service system planning for adult programing;
- Creates a team culture that supports growth and development of team members to better meet the needs of CLM clients, families and communities;
- Works in conjunction with the Director of Community Support Program to ensure that service delivery is efficient and effective. Utilizes data to monitor desired client outcomes and productivity;
- Works collaboratively with Departmental Directors to assure effective business practices.
- Participates in initiatives that drive and support access to care;
- Serves on appropriate committees, both internally and externally, as determined by the program director;
- Represents CLM in a professional and appropriate manner in the community;
- Performs all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
A Master’s degree in the mental health field is required and NH licensure as an LCMHC or LICSW is preferred; along with the demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, professionally and with compassion with colleagues, clients and their families is required.
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years of supervisory experience in a clinical setting. Superior documentation skills and familiarity with excel spreadsheets and reports is needed.
Must have current professional memberships, licenses, accreditations and certifications.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Must have the ability to sit at computer and use keyboard for data entry.
- Must have the ability to sit for 60 minute intervals while in sessions and/or meetings.
- Must have reliable transportation to be able to travel to offsite meetings as needed.
- Must be able to flex schedule to accommodate needs of clients and staff.
