24/7 Walk-in Crisis Assessments
Comprehensive and specialized clinical services and mental health care
CLM provides our region’s most comprehensive and specialized clinical services and mental health care for children and their families. Our specialists work with children experiencing serious emotional difficulties such as depression, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder, autism, disruptive behaviors, substance use disorders, and trauma associated with emotional, physical or sexual abuse. Emotional health impacts each area of a child’s life including family, school and social relationships. CLM encourages a wraparound approach that, whenever possible and necessary, pulls together other community resources to address the interconnected areas of a child’s life. CLM is committed to a community-based approach that provides many services to children in their home, at school or in other community settings.
Healthy emotional well-being is essential to children and important to their family, social and academic success. Our specialists are skilled and experienced at working with children as early as pre-school age through adolescence and their families. Therapy services include:
Individual – Our initial goal of therapy starts with building trust with each child and teen so that we can communicate in a safe setting and form a healing partnership. Through this partnership, we create a relationship where it is acceptable to listen, share, challenge emotions and experience difficult emotions and to attempt new, healthier ways of living.
Family – Families function best when there are appropriate hierarchies and boundaries. When difficulties arise between family members, family therapy can be effective in re-establishing roles, boundaries and healthy communication. Family therapy offers each family member a place to work together and gain understanding of each person’s role in the family and improve communication.
Group – Group therapy offers individuals a safe and comfortable place where they explore problems and emotional issues, gain insight into their own thoughts and behavior, and gain understanding of behaviors and offer suggestions and support to others. In addition, individuals who have a difficult time with interpersonal relationships can benefit from the social interactions that are a basic part of the group therapy experience

To ensure we provide comprehensive care, CLM completes a full assessment of the needs of your child and family and helps you in identifying where we can support you best. Once those needs are reviewed and discussed, your case manager will develop a thoughtful plan to provide care and support to address those needs, advocate wherever needed, and link and coordinate resources in areas which may include your child’s school support team, community supports, housing, legal services, or your child’s medical care provider. Your case manager will help you apply for health insurance to cover the cost of physical and mental health care, as well as other benefits that may help your child and family work towards accomplishing your goals. We will follow along with you in your journey every step of the way.
Community Support Services are face-to-face clinical interventions provided in the individual’s home or community. These services are designed to enhance resiliency, recovery, and integration in the community. There are four distinct Functional Support Services (FSS): Crisis Support Services, Family Support Services, Medication Support Services, and Therapeutic Behavioral Supports.
The goal of FSS is to assist clients and their family members navigate through the complexities around mental illness. We set goals with the client towards regaining control over their lives and achieving their personal goals. FSS provides education and skill development in areas including acute crisis management, maintaining a medication treatment regimen, family support and education, individualized resiliency training, and pursuit of employment and educational goals.
