Concerned about yourself or a loved one?

When episodes or periods of emotional crisis happen unexpectedly in our lives, CLM offers an array of Acute Care and Crisis Center services for our clients and our community. The services CLM offers are designed to provide additional support and treatment to individuals experiencing a psychiatric crisis while assisting them in stabilizing their condition to get them back to their daily routine as quickly as possible.

Depending on each individual situation and need, Acute Care Services may provide any one or a combination of the following services:

Like “urgent care” for mental health, the CLM Crisis Center provides 24/7 assessments, crisis stabilization and care planning with a goal of avoiding the need for emergency medical care and/or hospitalization. The Crisis Center is located in our main office in Derry. Crisis Center services are available to anyone in crisis regardless of age, residence or ability to pay (minors require a parent or guardian on site to complete assessment). Services include:

Telehealth Crisis Assessment (phone or video): Can be reached 24/7 by calling 603-434-1577, option 1

24/7 Walk-In Crisis Assessments are provided onsite at our Derry main office (only).

“Somewhere to Be” offers safe, therapeutic care onsite at CLM for individuals who would benefit from additional support for stabilization. Care is provided for adults as well as children/youth who must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) responds in-person to the individual where they are in the community if the crisis can’t be resolved over the phone or video telehealth.

Crisis Stabilization is a short-term, comprehensive assessment and crisis planning for an individual who is remaining in the community but is in need of crisis support.

When a friend or family has concerns regarding a person in crisis, CLM offers support and guidance to the friend or family to help them help their loved one in crisis.

Peer Support Specialist are people who have been successful in their own recovery process who are trained to help others experiencing similar situations. Through shared understanding, respect, and mutual empowerment, our Peer Support Specialists help people become and stay engaged in the recovery process and reduce the likelihood of relapse. Peer support services can effectively extend the reach of treatment beyond the clinical setting into the everyday environment of those seeking a successful, sustained recovery process.

Peer Support Specialists engage in a wide range of activities that may include: advocating for people in recovery, sharing resources and encouraging skill development, building community supports and relationships, mentoring and setting goals.

Acute Care Services will assess the need for a psychiatric admission and discuss treatment options with the individual and family (if appropriate) to ensure that the most appropriate treatment options are accessed. If hospitalization is needed, CLM Acute Care Services will facilitate the admission and obtain an authorization from the health insurance, when applicable. DOWNLOAD PDF

In addition to these services some of CLM’s Acute Care Services clinicians also volunteer with the NH Disaster Behavioral Health Response Team or engage in Critical Incident Stress Debriefing support to our local schools, organizations or community groups coping with the impact of a traumatic event.
