Important Update from NH Community Behavioral Health Association. Impact of NH Budget on Community Mental Health Centers.

Dear friends and colleagues of community mental health, The New Hampshire House of Representatives has adopted and narrowly passed the State budget for Fiscal Years 2026 and 2027. The budget process now moves to the Senate, where deliberations are underway. We are hopeful the Senate will recognize the critical need to restore essential funding to ensure continued support for individuals across the state. This is a pivotal and challenging time for New Hampshire’s Community Mental Health Centers. The funding cuts included in the House version of the budget risk a significant step backward for mental health care in our state. Please find below, link to a memorandum that outlines the serious challenges we face as a community and the potential consequences of the proposed reductions. Thank you for your attention to this important matter and for your continued support of mental health services in New Hampshire. Respectfully, NH Community Behavioral Health Association Click Here for Full Memorandum Statement

The goal of Supported Housing and Homeless Outreach is to help consumers live as independently as possible in the community. Support ranges from help developing appropriate independent living skills, assistance in obtaining affordable housing and ongoing support to sustain successful community integration for the program participants. Through Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and PATH funded programs we offer housing assistance for eligible homeless adults, who are willing to participate in treatment and in need of housing assistance and support.

Our Housing staff coordinate efforts with a client’s CLM treatment team as well as with outside providers such as primary medical care, landlords, and other social service supports. In addition, CLM continues to make significant strides through community outreach and collaboration with other community resources to address the needs of the homeless in the community.

Jean’s Place

Jean’s Place is a six-bed supportive housing program for adults in need of support for their mental health care. The goal of the program is to reduce the need for hospitalization and get people back to their lives in the community. Potential candidates should possess independent living skills such as cooking, cleaning and money management to live on their own. Jean’s Place has four independent apartments (2 one bedroom and 2 two bedroom) and is staffed 24/7. Jean’s Place provides a time-limited, supported apartment program that promotes wellness and recovery skills to empower guests to remain in the community with a goal of securing permanent and stable housing.
